The Future Awards, one of Nigeria’s leading youth events held yesterday at the MUSON Centre in Lagos. Brimming with national pride, in spite of the situation of the country, young people from different industries stepped out to be part of the event. And it was not just members of the generation next that were represented. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Reuben Abati and many others from the older generation took time off their hectic schedules to identify with a disadvantaged; often misrepresented generation trying hard to do things right in an environment where almost all that can go bad is going bad.
The event was anchored by rapper-beauty queen Munachi Abii and Naeto C; with beautiful performances from Bez, Essence, Omolara, Cobhams, Djinee, Lil’ H, Scales, Mo Cheddah, Wizkid, Kefee, Timi Dakolo, Waje, Street hoop and DNMT.
