The 2010 Channel O music video award nomination list released today (August 19) saw R&B mainstay Djinee lead the pack with four nominations for Safe and Overkillin while Somalian K’naan,whose mega-hit Waving Flag ignited Africa during the just concluded World Cup, came a close second with three nominations.
However, worthy of note is Dagrin’s Pon Pon Pon video which is going head-to-head with 2face’s Implication video in the Most Gifted West Video category.
Bearing in mind that the two videos are both excellent in visual standard, storyline, directing and characterization, whoever takes home the award is bound to be scrutinized heavily.
Mr. Idibia has won it all, with many local and international award plagues, his kitty is already running-over; unlike Dagrin who suddenly died on the cusp of super stardom. Tragically, he could not wait to collect all his awards in person – the nominations and victories came only after his death..
