As part of efforts to promote Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Michael Jackson: The immortal’ world tour, children of the late king of pop immortalized their famous dad by making handprints and footprint impressions of Michael Jackson in the concrete just outside of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson used their father’s shoes and a sequined glove to render the impression, while celebrities, including Justin Bieber watched. Stars who have been immortalized in this manner include; Fred Astaire, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Sidney Poitier among others, since the tradition started in 1928.

The Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour,’ is expected to make its Los Angeles debut Friday night and will be attended by family members of the late King of Pop, including mom Katherine Jackson, brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie Jackson, original members of the Jackson 4, for the show.

The celebrity guest list includes William ‘Smokey’ Robinson, Chris Tucker, members of the cast of ‘Glee’, and Quincy Jones, according to organizers.

Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson have been more in the public eye recently as against their much shielded lives before their father’s 2009 death.

The ‘Immortal’ show is touring the United States and Canada through this year before taking up residency in Las Vegas.
